Who we are

We are a small group of travelers, photographers and former hotel staff who got tired of listicles that never mention a price. Julio Lindert started in 2026 as a shared notebook of trip budgets and booking mistakes. Today it reaches readers who want a straight answer about a lodge, a city hotel or a beach resort before they pay a deposit.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: explain what a stay actually includes, what it costs and when a cheaper option is the better one. Every week we publish free guides on Mountain Escapes, Urban Hotels, Island Resorts, Travel Photography and Family Holidays, using 2026 prices, realistic transfer times and the details that decide whether a trip feels restful or rushed.

Editorial standards

No sponsored picks and no pay-to-rank lists. We pay for our own stays where we can, disclose any relationship and correct mistakes in public within 48 hours. Numbers come from booking quotes, hotel invoices, transfer operators and published timetables, not from press releases. If a place disappoints in real use, we say so.
